Perfect hiking trail for beginners and children. Bring your boots, it can get muddy! Lots of rocks and small boulders, down trees to cross, and beautiful views. The cabin and ground are an awesome piece of history. Gorgeous area! Great parking!

Quick stop to check out this old homestead. I love history and seeing things like this from years passed on always gets me excited. The area was easy to get to with accessible parking. The site was not crowded and great to explore. Sad to see that the humans have started to to desecrate parts of the buildings..
A really nice nature walk here with lots of exploring to do. There are a few walks and if you let yourself, you can get lost. Lol. Just be careful. It's not a very challenging walk unless you are a complete novice at walking in the mountains. Just look down and pay attention to which rocks are solid and which move on you. Follow the nature walk signs and all is good. A beautiful walk that takes about 45mins. Free entry as well which is a big bonus!
My husband and I randomly came across this site and ended up loving it! It was quiet and not many people. There was a trail behind the Noah Bud Ogle Farm that was a bit tricky with rocks, bridges and a tricky terrain but not at all hard. The creek was stunning and the walk was very serene! Definitely recommend!
Awesome nature trail. The information booklet at the entrance is worth more than the .50. The buildings are in good shape, you have full access to them. Very cool to get a glimpse of real mountain life in the past.
